Sometimes pop music just works
I would have never taken the time to watch this video if not for the big Kanye hullaballoo on the VMAs last night.

But now that I have I must confess that this song really endeared itself to me. No matter how old I get I think I will always feel like my dorky teenage self -- comparing myself to girls who deem themselves superior and wondering when and if I'll ever have my own moment to shine. This is proven in how much I related to lyrics for this tune.
Who woulda thought I'd see myself reflected in a country(ish) tune? Then again, I am half-hillbilly, so I suppose it makes sense. :)
