I'm a sucker for a good meme. Especially on days like today, when I'm not feeling inclined to think of an entry topic.

What songs are you currently addicted to?
Love is Pain by Joan Jett. Also other recordings she made both as a solo artist and with the Runaways. I blame this addiction on having seen The Runaways movie recently.

What was the last movie you saw?
Donnie Darko. Why I took so long to get around to it is something I'm still scratching my head over. And I wanna watch it at least once more to better absorb all the nuances.

Zombies or Robots?
Hmmm... Both are fun but I think I favor zombies by a hair.

What are you doing right now?
Trying to shake off memories of a nightmare I had last night.

What's your current fandom/obsession?
I'm on a bit of a Joan Jett kick, but I don't think it's quite reached the obsession level yet. And Jake Gyllenhall has been on my mind a lot lately. He should have been Spiderman.

What's the one thing you miss about being a kid?
Having my dad around.

What side of the bed do you sleep on?
The middle in most cases, but when I curl up I often favor the right side.

What was the last thing you bought?
The new Hole album, a Joan Jett and the Blackhearts greatest hits CD, and groceries.

Ninja or Gladiator?
Ninja, without question!

If you could speak any language what would it be? 
Irish would be kinda cool.

Digging into my re-write of chapter five so as to better develop one of my supporting characters. This is my goal for tonight's writing group.

The Runaways movie is okay, but it's not spectacular. Kristen Stewart was much better than I expected as Joan, but Dakota Fanning's portrayal of Cherrie made her seem kind of vapid and gullible through most of it. And I was disappointed that the other girls in the band, namely Lita, got minimal screen time. That said, it's worth catching on DVD whenever its released.

As for Donnie, I had a little trouble getting my head around the time travel bit as well. I've read that there's a version with a director's commentary, so I might try to find that and see if he explains what's going on more clearly.

I almost bought that Joan Jett greatest hits, too. But I only downloaded Do You Wanna Touch Me?

Finally watched Zombieland, too. What a gas. The opening credits suggest it's a gore-fest, but thankfully not so.

Thanks! I have a confession about page 45. It's from my novel manuscript, which I have as a word document on my work hard drive. It was either that or transcribe something from the dictionary, and I wasn't really keen on that.

Do You Wanna Touch Me? is great! My other favorite by her is I Hate Myself For Loving You, with Bad Reputation as a close second.

Isn't Zombieland the greatest thing ever? I love that movie sooooo much! :)
