Seattle: The Highlights
Apr. 21st, 2009 10:42 amOkay, so I know I've been going on about Seattle ad nauseum for the last few months, and I'm sorry if it makes me sound like a broken record.
Now that my trip is over, and I'm relatively adjusted to the daily grind again, I'll probably go back to posting about a broader range of topics just like I used to.
But before I can do that, I feel like I need to document all the bits and snatches of my vacation before they escape my head and are gone forever. So I hope you don't mind if I indulge in a vague list of images, objects, memories, and impressions...it probably won't be all that illuminating to anyone but myself, but it will give you a sense of what I absorbed while I was away. More importantly, it will give me something to refer back to should I ever have the time and inclination to develop more meaningful writing related to this trip.

3.Soothing british accents as I drift in and out of sleep
4.Unexpected encounters with Chippendales
5.Hot, freshly roasted cashews
6.The endless ripples of sparkling blue water
7.Produce too perfect to eat
8.Single-serving pitchers of Sprite
9.Sarcastic criticism of Chris Cornell
10. Breathless stories of Billie Joe Armstrong's sister
11. Falling asleep to the sounds of traffic
12. Friendly locals with great knowledge of direction
13. Delicious vegan pizza
14. Hidden vintage treasures
15. Scrumptious thai food
16. Soundgarden-esque live bands
17. Meandering shopping excursions
18. Transvestite Easter Bunnies
19. Candles

21. Bo and his glow sticks (and his magic bicycle)

25. Smoking at the muddy banks

I suppose these might make useful writing prompts in the future, or give all of you things to ask me questions about! I'm much better at telling stories when I know that someone in particular expects them. I'm absolutely worthless without a sense of audience.
