Punk-ass tripping but it's alright
May. 21st, 2009 11:18 amTwice this week, I've had to hop a cab from my office down to Hyde Park, in order to collect information for a couple of work-related reports that I'm drafting.
Not a big deal, right? It gets me away from my desk for a bit, and breaks up the long workday.
Here's the funny thing though...in both instances my cab caught a light at the intersection of Columbus Drive and Jackson, right near Grant Park, where someone in one of the neighboring vehicles had their windows rolled down, blasting their stereo. The song choice? Boyz in the Hood by NWA. Both times! And it was on the same verse both times I caught it!
I'm trying to determine if there's any greater meaning I'm supposed to take from this. Maybe there's some important pearl of wisdom that can only be learned from old-school gangsta rap?
*shrugs*
In any case, I found it amusing.
