Music nostalgia

This morning I got an e-mail from a colleague informing us that there's going to be a free concert in the plaza in front of our office building around noon time.

Pretty cool, right? What better way to spend your lunch hour than to get out in the air, and enjoy some food and live music!

I'm probably gonna go check it out, but I have to admit that irony and nostalgia are my main motivators.

Irony because the band that's playing doesn't exactly fit my idea of a rockin good time. Nostalgia because they did when I was seventeen.

Better Than Ezra is the group that's about to perform. I'll explain my history with them when I get back.

Oh wells

Looks like the Better than Ezra entry is gonna have to wait. Work time was spent working, and I'm gonna be out of town the next two days.

That's right folks, I'm hitting the road with my sights set on Milwaukee and some of my favorite bands of all time!

Rancid. Rise Against. The Tossers. Dropkick Murphys. The Offspring. Loverboy. Okay, I was joking about that last one, but you get my drift.

I'm not the praying sort, but I am wishing harder than hell for good weather! And keeping my fingers crossed that my tradition of finding awesome best-kept-secret bands continues. Last year it was Kaiser Cartel. The year before, Romantica. This year....who knows?????

Can't wait to take to the highway tomorrow afternoon with Steph and begin my adventure!

Watcha gonna doooooo Wisconsin, when Jenny Seay and all of her music nerdiness, runs wild on youuuuuuu?

:)
