Haven't done a meme in a while...
Jun. 29th, 2009 01:20 pmEver since Saturday, I've been feeling the sense of let-down that always follows the completion of a really fun excursion. I know I should probably fight that off by writing about my two days in Milwaukee, but I'd much rather look back on my trip when I'm in a better mood -- when I'm better able to convey positivity.
In the meantime, I thought I'd tide you over with a meme that allows me to look back much farther. It's going around as a note on Facebook, and I decided to steal it for blogging purposes since I don't really use the notes feature on there all that much.
I'll come back in a day or two and tell more about Summerfest...where this year's best-kept-secret band revealed itself to be Nashville's own Hillbilly Casino!
Until then....enjoy learning all about me!!! :)
These are my firsts. If I tag you, it means I want to know yours. Copy and paste this note into your notes, delete my answers, and fill yours in. Tag me back and anyone else whose "firsts" you want to know about...
1. Who was your FIRST prom date?
Rob K.
2. Do you still talk to your FIRST love?
Yes, if you're referring to the first boy I was ACTUALLY in love with. There were others that I THOUGHT I loved, but they were all boys who I admired from afar and who rarely gave me the time of day.
3. What was your FIRST alcoholic drink?
Sparkling wine at Sara H.'s house on new year's eve sophomore year.
4. What was your FIRST salaried job?
That would be Columbia College Library, where I was promoted from being a student worker to being a circulation/av assistant.
5. What was your FIRST car?
2001 Dodge Neon when I was 22. I was a late-bloomer in the car department. I drove my mom's boyfriend's station wagon when I was 16, though.
6. Who was the FIRST person to text you today?
No one. Phone has been quiet.
7. Who is the FIRST person you thought of this morning?
Myself. I was trying to remember if I really needed to get up or if it was actually Sunday
8. Who was your FIRST grade teacher?
Mrs. Johnson. I loved her so much that I cried when I completed the school year and had to move on to second grade.
9. Where did you go on your FIRST ride on an airplane?
Orlando. My friend Nancy got to take me with for her family's trip to Disney.
10. Who was your FIRST best friend & do you still talk?
I would probably say Roger. We don't still talk, because he was taken away from his mother when we were in first or second grade, and I never found out where he ended up. I think about him often, and I hope he and his siblings were sent to a loving home.
11. Where was your FIRST sleep over?
It would either be Nancy or Sara's house. Not sure for certain.
12. Who was the FIRST person you talked to today?
I said good morning to my colleagues when I entered the big room.
13. Whose wedding were you IN the FIRST time?
I was the flower girl in my uncle Joe's wedding when I was four. I don't remember much of it, but I've been told that I stole the show away from my aunt by virtue of being so damn cute.
14. What was the FIRST thing you did this morning?
Looked at the alarm clock and tapped the snooze button.
15. What was the FIRST concert you ever went to?
The B96 Rock and Rap show featuring Saigon Kick and Sir Mix-a-Lot. It was a free concert that my high school won by sending the station the most postcards.
16. FIRST broken bone?
I've never broken anything. Must be a result of drinking so much milk! :)
17. FIRST piercing
Ears at ten years old.
18. FIRST foreign country you've gone to?
Ireland.
19. FIRST movie you remember seeing?
That would be either the Great Muppet Caper or E.T. Although I didn't make it through all of E.T. the first time around. I got freaked out when old bug eyes first appeared.
20. When was your FIRST detention?
I think my entire class was given one in third grade? Somebody did something wrong and wouldn't fess up and since no one would come forward to snitch we all had to get punished.
22. Who was your FIRST roommate?
Julie W. First and only, since I don't count significant others as roomates.
23. Did you marry the FIRST person to ask for your hand in marriage/you asked to marry?
No.
24. What was the FIRST sport you were involved in?
Ha ha ha ha....next question.
25. What were the FIRST lessons you ever took?
Piano.
26. What is the FIRST thing you do when you get home?
Take off my shoes and socks or pantyhose.
27. Who do you think will be the next person to post this?
Anyone who wants to.
