Sep. 11th, 2009 10:06 amMost Americans associate this day with chaos and collapsing buildings and a national sense of tragedy. Me? I think of all that for a fleeting moment, but then I flash forward to 2006, the year September 11 brought a moment that affected me much more deeply, much more personally. I hope to write about that in a little more detail later today, but in case I don't, please let the record show that I will be spending a good part of my day remembering Ray Cortese, and also remembering the moment at the House of Blues Tossers/Rancid show when I KNEW he was gone before I officially KNEW he was gone, if that makes any sense.

Whens the last time you fell asleep watching a movie?
Woulda been at somebody's house, I think. If I'm paying for a show, no way am I sleeping through it.
Wearing any bracelets?
Nope. I forgot to put the one I always wear back on when I got out of the shower. And I feel naked without it.
Do you feel awkward when strangers say hi to you?
Only if they're creepy.
Are you tan?
Ha ha ha ha ha.....no.
How many cell phones have you had in your life?

The professor studying farts.

Only if that's the way I approach it.

Intermittently.

Probably at work.

Only have one. I mostly keep her at a distance cause it's the best way for us to get along.

Nope.
Do you play an instrument?
Used to play piano and violin. I shook a mean tambourine at my karaoke birthday party last year. :)
How many credit cards do you have?
1 major. Or one major that I actually use. The rest just sit with no balance. Same goes for my store cards.
Have you ever wanted to be a teacher?
Recently I've thought it might be nice to be a tenured writing prof.
What is one thing you've learned about life?
If you try to control it too much it will say eff you and kick you in the face.
Ever been stuck in an elevator?
Never for more than a couple minutes.

He can't call me anything, cause he's gone. But when he was still alive he called me Tiger or Tiger Beat.

Wavy.
