I yoinked this
Jan. 13th, 2010 12:06 amfavourite song right now?:
Hrrm, I dunno. Honestly it changes by the minute. Here's one I was quite stuck on earlier today:
Last album you bought/downloaded?:
Control Alt Country Delete by Romantica
Last movie you watched? Did you like it?:
I saw Leap Year with a co-worker last Friday night. Didn't really expect very much, but I was a tiny bit hopeful that the hot Irish guy who played the lead combined with the scenery of the Irish countryside would make for an enjoyable experience. In the end I didn't hate it, but it didn't make me swoon the way romantic comedies are supposed to (although I admit that very very few films within this genre have that sort of power over me to begin with). Some parts of it were so implausible that I had a hard time suspending my disbelief, and Amy Adams was a bit grating as a leading lady, so that kept me from fully connecting to the material. All in all I didn't hate it, but I also didn't walk away daydreaming about how it was a story I'd like to see myself in someday.
Three things that are super-annoying at the moment?:
+ Winter
+ Feeling a little unsure about where I should next direct my energy and focus
+ Lack of a vehicle in the middle of winter
If you could do anything in the world, what would it be?:
I would write novels that really touched people. I want my words to have a lasting impact.
What's really scary?:
Thoughts of never finding love again.
Name two items nearest to you:
Weevil's scratching post
Cables connecting my lappy to the internets.
Top five words/phrases you use?:
+ I know, right?
+ Awesome
+ Totally
+ No problem
+ Interesting
Two things you're excited for this year?:
+ The moment Weevil finally shows me affection
+ Taking a short trip out of town next month
Your favorite ice cream flavor?:
Mint chocolate chip
Four of your favorite things in the world?:
+ Weevil
+ cuddles
+ my friends
+ music
The most played song on your iTunes?:
Haven't used my iTunes in a while, but it would probably be New Wave or Up the Cuts by Against Me! because that was one of the first albums I uploaded.
If you could rescue any animal, what would it be and would you keep it?:
Well that's easy. I've already rescued Weevil cat and I've kept him for almost two months with no plans of letting him escape. Though I'd help a bunny in a heartbeat as well.
Worst movie you've ever seen?:
The fourth Crow movie with Edward Furlong and David Boreanz
Best way to relax?:
Reading
Listening to music
Getting a massage
Favourite quote/lyric?:
"I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not."
- Kurt Cobain.
"You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave."
- The Eagles, Hotel California
Are there any bits of childhood that you miss?:
Our annual road trips to Knoxville, TN. It was the one week of the year (maybe two) when I was guaranteed an extended stretch of time with my dad.
Also, being the only girl to hang with a group of boys from about second to fifth grade. Billy was our ringleader and my best friend. I thought I was gonna marry him.
And sleepovers at Sara's or Nancy's.
Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter?:
Autumn, all the way. I love the crispness, I love the colors and I love the harvest-inspired foods that are in abundance during this period. Not to mention Halloween.
Say something that you want to tell someone:
Shit or get off the pot.
