Kaiser Cartel
Apr. 15th, 2010 02:38 amThis evening,
fuzzilla and I went to see this band.
I knew it would be great, knowing how much I've enjoyed seeing them live on other occasions. What I didn't expect, however, is that I'd find two additional bands to appreciate almost as much. Now I can add The Wiitala Brothers and Divebar to the list of bands that really excite me.
It's been a while since I've had a night where I sat through almost three straight hours of music and found myself fully engaged the whole way through. I've decided that nothing, not even wrestling, is better than the feeling of total sonic immersion. Especially when said sonic immersion takes place on a warm, clear, spring evening that feels infinite because there's no pressure to be up early the next morning.
Definitely makes me less crabby about having returned to Chicago from Eureka Springs, that's for sure. I'll write more about that trip in the next couple days.
