Full stop

I've been pretty busy these last few weeks. And more motivated than ever to write and write and write.

In fact, that was the only thing I had on the agenda for today, after two days of helping my friend D celebrate turning 30.

But then I woke up, and I realized that cumulative exhaustion has finally sunk in. Hard. And despite my feeling a little guilty about it, I decided that I'm long overdue for full day of nothing. Just one measly afternoon and evening of putting aside thoughts of chores, thoughts of the things I need to accomplish, thoughts that life is short and I must go go go now now now!

Because even though it is true that life is short, and it's important to make the most of every minute and to seize every opportunity, it's also just as important to just let go, to just be in order to balance that out.

So today there will be no laundry. There will be no writing. There will be no condo board work.

Today is all about me moving slow and indulging in pleasures that relax, pleasures that help me rejuvenate. So far, that has included napping. And reading.

There will be more reading shortly. There will also be some televised wrestling. TNA's pay-per-view, Victory Road, to be specific. And depending on my appetite, this may be watched while eating some delivered food. Right now I'm thinking Thai. Or Mediterranean. Something that will be just as savory as Brian Kendrick. He's my latest wrestling crush. Alex Shelley beware!
