Reasons to be happy
Oct. 28th, 2011 03:58 pm1. My big work events of last Saturday went off without a hitch and were well attended. And I made it to campus for set-up just in time to see the sun rise from my campus office window.
2. I treated myself to a matinee of Real Steel on Sunday afternoon. Yeah, it was a bit cheesy, but it had Hugh Jackman without a shirt and some moving father/son interactions that touched the inner reaches of my soul.
3. Been watching Supernatural with Steph after our weekly writing sessions (we've already burned through Season One and have recently finished the first disc of Season Two. Not only is the writing and characterization fantastic, but Jensen Ackles is the ultimate sight for sore eyes! Hoo boy, how I wish I could do bad things to him!
4. My office move at my downtown office (the second one in just over a month, mind you) is over and went smoothly and afforded me the luxury of sleeping in on Wednesday.
5. Saw a pretty awesome Halloween play this past Wednesday, and visited a haunted house for the first time since high school yesterday.
6. Tomorrow, I get to continue the Halloweeny goodness when I don my Blind Melon Bumblebee Girl costume for the Beacon's annual shindig.
7. Sunday I see my BFF Dawn for her first son's second birthday and her second son's baptism. And despite being as heathen as they come, I still get to be the one playing Godmommy.
8. I can crash out early tonight because I choose too, not because I have to be up before dawn the next day for a work function.
9. I'm re-reading The Outsiders for the first time in ages. Damn, what a masteful story!
10. The Muppets are mixing with the WWE roster on Monday for a brilliant mash-up of two of my greatest loves!
11. It's Friday! Duh!
