WizardWorld
Aug. 17th, 2012 08:51 pmLast weekend I made my annual pilgrimage to Rosemont to enjoy the geekfest that is WizardWorld Chicago.
I've been kinda meh about it the last couple years, but something about this year was different, and it restored my love for comic book conventioning.
I'm guessing a big part of it was getting to introduce the Con phenomenon to some people who'd never been, including my friends Steph and Clarise and my nine-year-old nephew. They brought a new energy and enthusiasm, that made me remember why I got so addicted to going to these things in the first place.
And I got to meet CM Punk. And Luke Perry, who was the most charming celebrity I've ever met.
I should do a recap or something, but I'm getting ready for a work trip to New York this evening, so like most of my blog stories as of late, it'll have to be added to my to do list.
