I had an idea for a pretty extensive post this morning, and got sidetracked with work stuff so now I've forgotten what I wanted to say. I think it had something to do with me remembering that a year ago this week, I was beginning my stay at the colony in Eureka Springs.

Yeah, that sounds about right. I'll have to come back when I have time to ruminate on my time there in greater detail.

I'm at the colony right now; there was a cancellation or something and I have managed a week in the Culinary Suite. Had chalupas Monday night :)

Trying to cram everything you want to see/do/write/peruse/read/think about in a week sucks.

That's what I'll be doing when I go in October. I could have reserved a full residency, but it would have required using up all my allotted vacation time. I'm there Oct. 21-29, so if you'll be up there at all during that time I'd love to get together.

Glad you enjoyed your chalupas. And I bet it's nice being in the culinary suite!

It's entirely possible that I'll be here at least over the weekend when you're here in October. Yes, definitely we'll get together. Margaritas at Caribe :)

The culinary suite is weird. It's just so huge. But I have an incredible urge to cook something. Tomorrow night is Poetluck and I was thinking, if I'm at a good break point tomorrow, of making some stuffed mushrooms to bring.

We'll see how the work-day goes tomorrow. It's been 103 here and veryvery hot
