After watching tonight's episode of Glee I must proclaim that the cast did a bang-up job on the closing number, a cover of this song:

I'm not ashamed to admit that their performance turned me into a blubbering snot-soaked mess, if only because there's been moments in every episode of this show with the power to do that.

I didn't think it was possible for television to move me in this way, but I'm hopeless in the face of underdog stories. I love love LOVE All the misfit kids, especially poor Rachel, who wants nothing more than the glory of showcasing her talents. And don't even get me started on the guidance counselor Emma, tortured by her secret love for Will Schuester.

I can tell this show is gonna toy with me and mess me around and probably break my heart, and when it's done I'm gonna thank it and ask for more more MORE!!! much like I did with Six Feet Under.

Have I always been this much of a masochist? Probably so....

I have to admit, it's not really my genre but I'm really digging Glee. I basically lived that in high school (with less outcast/social pariah factor) so it's cute. And those actors can sing.

Having KC on tonight just made it THAT much better. Yeah, it's going to mess with me too.

I'm so glad I have people to talk about this with! And you're right, they really can sing!

I adore this show to pieces. I want to hug Finn and Rachel and sing all the songs and just love everything about this show.

The Finn and Rachel story makes me swoon. Seriously. But then again, so does the whole show.

I've been hearing just fabulous reviews of this show. My wife is hooked, as are a few friends. It's not too American Idol-y?

Not to american idol-y at all. The writing is witty and tight and just fantastic!
