Kaiser Cartel

This evening, [livejournal.com profile] fuzzilla and I went to see this band.

I knew it would be great, knowing how much I've enjoyed seeing them live on other occasions. What I didn't expect, however, is that I'd find two additional bands to appreciate almost as much. Now I can add The Wiitala Brothers and Divebar to the list of bands that really excite me.

It's been a while since I've had a night where I sat through almost three straight hours of music and found myself fully engaged the whole way through. I've decided that nothing, not even wrestling, is better than the feeling of total sonic immersion. Especially when said sonic immersion takes place on a warm, clear, spring evening that feels infinite because there's no pressure to be up early the next morning.

Definitely makes me less crabby about having returned to Chicago from Eureka Springs, that's for sure. I'll write more about that trip in the next couple days.

Crabby indeed. I was crabby for a few days, nigh a week, when I returned home from Atl. Even though you were there for just a week, crankiness still ensued?

I'd say it was more like resentment rather than crankiness. Because the schedule I had while I was there made me feel free and in control. When I reach that point I can't help but lament the fact that life can't be that way all the time.

Re: your second comment, I kind of figured that's what you meant. But if you feel like indulging your inner crab I'm happy to wallow right along with you! Nothing like comisserating, right? :)

That should be "returned home from Eureka." Maybe I'm crabby now and don't know it.
