An important announcement

You know that chapter I've been struggling with? The one that has been kicking my ass ever since I returned from my writing retreat at the end of July?

Well I kept toiling over it: filling the holes, figuring out the back-story needed to move things forward, heightening weak imagery.

And after doing this for about a month and a half I am very pleased to announce that I have finally finished!!!!!!!!

It's not perfect, and I've already identified something that I need to do in order to improve one particular moment, but I've made a note of it and am now moving on.

Can you believe it? I can't, but it's true.

I finished the ever-troublesome Chapter Nine! And now I'm on to Chapter Ten, one that I don't think will be nearly as much work!

*Curtsies and opens arms to accept congratulatory bouquets of roses*

Actually, you're not too far off when you say that. I have a tiny bit of Chap. 11 drafted, but most of it needs revision, and the rest will be created from scratch.
