Shirking all responsibilities
May. 24th, 2010 12:19 amI tried doing a little writing today, but after a busy weekend that included live music at Metro (thanks Reb!) and a screening of an independent film in which I had a tiny speaking part (again, thanks Reb, especially for the dip and crackers!) I was kind of exhausted.
So I slept in, caught up on some DVR'd wrestling (TNA is getting interesting, IMHO) and succumbed to my desire for a girlie flick. I ordered Music and Lyrics on OnDemand this evening, and though I normally roll my eyes at films about romance, I thought this one was really sweet and cute and moving. I suppose I have a bias because I'm partial to Drew Barrymore, but even if I didn't I think I would have found this to be quality.
And of course, now I'm fantasizing about becoming a songwriter. And about having a handsome, sensitive man write a beautiful song expressing just how much he loves me.
Yeah, yeah, I'm a fool for love. But only sometimes.
