Directions please

Someone needs to give me instructions on how to make a cool hyperlink to a person's LJ appear in the subject line. I've tried figuring it out myself, and can't make heads or tails out of it. Maybe I'm just to lazy to consult the FAQ section on the My LJ page. Yeah, it's true.

So yeah, any help is much appreciated.

Do you just want to link with somebody's name? Because you would type:

< lj user="monster_grrrl" >, minus the spaces before the l and after the end quote.

That's exactly what I was looking for. I use the whole freakin block of code when I do it in journal entries, and couldn't figure out how to fit that all in the subject line. This shortcut works quite nicely. Thanks!
