So it looks as if I've gone and gotten myself published again!

NewCity Chicago has released their annual summer guide, and I commemorated their pool party theme by providing a short recollection of some adolescent silliness. Funny how no matter how hard I try, I keep going back to material related to high school in some way or another.

Normally this would be available at newspaper spots throughout Chicago, but in this case, NewCity is only featuring this piece on their website. Space constraints and all. Go to the link below, and check it out! And then read the other stories, because they're pretty good too!

At summer camp when I was a kid, I got picked up by a counselor and thrown into the lake along with other campers after playing some game. I forget if we were the winners or the losers.

Another time at a summer camp it was "Wet 'n' Wild Wednesday," where kids brought Super Soakers and a fire truck sprayed water. I sat and read a book, and two counselors got me, carried me out to the middle of the action, got me wet, and I ran back to my spot.
