Yeah, I should be doing something productive, but I've been wanting to do this for days. I'll try to indicate what my taste was at the time, but if I now feel strongly either way about anything I'll add a comment explaining why.

Go to Pop Culture Madness and select the year you became 18. Copy the list and paste it in your journal. Bold the ones you like, strike the ones you dislike, italicize the ones you know but neither like nor dislike and leave the ones you don't know as common text.

1996 I was really into alternative rock and punk rock and R&B and dance, I loved listening to late nights on a Connecciccut (sp) radio station that did interviews with famous rock stars. The host, Tom Calderone, now is the president of VH1.

I'll just pick my favorites. I turned 18 in 2001:

Lady Marmalade - Christina Aguilera, Pink, Lil Kim, and Mya
Get The Party Started - Pink
Bootylicious - Destiny's Child
Pop - N Sync
Fallin' - Alicia Keys

I felt too old by that time and didn't like a lot of pop songs from that year.

Pink is the best! And I just realized that you were turning 18 the year I got my bachelor's degree.
