Skinhead question

I don't have the time or inclination to research this myself, but I have a burning question about skinheads. Can anyone tell me what it signifies when they use red laces in one boot, and black laces in the other?
I saw a guy who had done up his feet this way on the train last night, and it made me really curious. So I decided to tap my wonderful base of knowledge here, and see if any answers surfaced.
If you don't know, I'll be your best friend if you look it up for me. :)

A. Straight laced red laces in your boots means the blood that's been shed for the white race and the blood your willing to shed for the white race. Common among Neo-Nazi's. Straight laced white laces in your boots means White Power. Common among non neo-nazi skinheads. Black laces means "fresh cut". Blue laces for sXe skinheads.

Some skinheads, particularly highly political ones, attach significance to the colour of boot laces, braces, and (less commonly) flight jackets. Some use them to indicate beliefs or affiliations. The particular colours used have varied regionally, so only skinheads from the same area are likely to interpret them accurately. In many areas laces must be 'laddered' - arranged with the outside laces horizontal and parallel, resembling a ladder - to be considered of any significance. The "braces and laces game" has largely fallen into disuse, particularly among traditionalist skinheads, who are more likely to choose their colours for fashion purposes.

Date: 2007-07-27 03:43 pm (UTC)There was also some dude who asked me for money for AIDS research, but just asked me to write my name on a piece of paper and didn't have any official literature with him or anything. I did give him $1 or something. I saw him another time with the same spiel and I said "I saw you before, remember?" and he pulled down the door opener thing and bolted outta there as soon as I said that.
